Last week Avelon celebrated the opening of their first shop-in-shop at Margreeth Olsthoorn, Rotterdam. An unknown shop to me, but boy do I wish I knew this before! More gallery than shop, with an interesting atmosphere created by designer, stylist and owner Margreeth Olsthoorn herself.
There are mannequins from the hands of Piet Paris, a striking neon light artwork which has Joseph Kosuth all over it, the prettiest industrial floors and of course there now also is some Avelon candy to fall in love with.
Avelon’s rose gold details are genius, but I found myself drooling over a gorgeous lightweight coat. Yes I tried to photograph it, and no that didn’t turn out very well. You can find it here, but it’s much better off-screen!
